Description
Josie is a 3lb dutch dwarf. She was spayed march 18, 2009 and is ready to begin meeting potential adopters. Her litterbox habits still need a little work but she is much improved since her spay. She has very mild food and cage agression, which has also greatly improved. She loves attention and will ask for it. She loves to run laps in her exercise pen, but despite her small size she is capable of jumping more than 3ft high! For this reason, any exercise pens or enclosures will need a cover or need to be 4ft or higher.Josie may be a good free-range bunny with some practice, but I cannot say for sure since I have been unable to have her free-range due to space issues. She has a dominant personality and may bond well to a very submissive neutered male bun. She is used to dogs as long as they know how to behave around her, but is absolutely terrified of cats. We believe a cat chased her while she was runing loose before she was rescued.Josie is a special needs bun due to a blocked tear duct. While this issue has not needed any medical intervention per her vet, it does need to be cleaned regularly to keep her fur and skin around the eye healthy and mat-free. I cannot guarantee she won't need medical intervention in the future, but while I've had her she has done perfectly fine with it as long as it is kept clean. She seems to enjoy it and will sit patiently and quietly on your lap while you clean it.Rabbits generally do not like to be picked up and can easily break their backs if mishandled or dropped, so due to this and her small size she will not be placed in a home with kids under 13 years of age. I'd prefer a home with no large dogs, but that is negotiable depending on the dog's personality. If interested, please contact me for an adoption application.
