German Shepherd Dog - Large - Baby - Male - Dog - Brewster
Description
Update 6/2009- Brewster is approx. 6.5 months old. He is not a large dog by any means. I'm guessing 25lbs. He is doing well with the house-training. I can't say that he has any real issues. He initially barks when he sees a stranger, he jumps and he will playfully chew at the backs of people and dogs ankles sometimes(In hopes of starting a game of tag) Typical puppy. Brewster can distinguish the difference between a child and adult. He tends to be very well behaved. He recently worked with a counselor and 3yr old autistic child. He was wonderful! Brewster is a special little guy! He was about 2 weeks old when he came into rescue. His siblings had died from pneumonia and Brewster was right behind them. We had to tube feed him every 2 hours round the clock, administer fluids and meds until he was strong enough to take the bottle. (Still had to eat every 2 hrs for a while) On 2 different evenings, we ended up at the emergency vet clinic with him. Brewster beat the odds! Now he is around 11 weeks old and growing like crazy. He is eating 2nd Step puppy Formula out of a bowl. We are trying to switch him over to puppy food but it will take some time. He tries to inhale it and ends up chocking.... It will just take some time. Update: Brewster is eating hard food. We are putting inside a toy treat dispenser to slow him down.
