This is an IBM/Lenovo R51 light weight slim line laptop with software bundle... Only 1.5 inches thick! Get the portability of a netbook with full functionality. It has been completely refurbished by IT pros and is in great working condition. They have been thoroughly cleaned and tested using a 15 point check system.
The LCD is bright and clear with intense color graphics and the plastic housing is in great condition along with the keyboard and associated buttons… The machine comes loaded with hundreds of dollars worth of software including Windows XP Pro/Home Service Pack 3, Microsoft Office Suite Pro (POWERPOINT, EXCEL, WORD, PUBLISHER AND OUTLOOK). The hard drive has been completely wiped and reformatted and reloaded with fresh new certified software with valid authenticated/activated COA.
With an 60GB hard drive, Pentium M/Centrino processor and 1 GB of RAM the wireless internet connection and programs run very fast. I have even tested the unit on my own wireless network while playing a song on WMP and surfing the net downloading graphics intense pages and streaming videos. It never missed a beat! Programs load quickly and even running multiple programs simultaneously is fine.
Here are some caveats about buying pre-owned computers.
1- There is a lot of junk out there. My company is part of one of the Southeast's largest IBM parts and computer dealers networks. I do not sell junk!
2- If they have not been refurbished with the hard drive wiped and reformatted with a new software installation, there is a very high likelihood that the computer contains corrupted files and registry, junk files that rob memory, spyware, adware or malware... You are simply buying someone's USED laptop along with its problems.
3- Beware of "stock" photos. If there are not pics of the actual unit, you have no idea what you are buying. What you see here in my pics is what you are getting. Compare specs VERY carefully. You get what you pay for. Cheap is not best! The cheap computer you bought can get expensive very fast. You do not have to worry about that with my computers.
4- If you buy a computer without a COA sticker with valid product code that has been authenticated and activated you may have an illegal operating system that will deactivate within 30 days. All of our machines have valid COA stickers that have been authenticated and activated. This computer is great for students, business people and normal users. It is a workhorse.

Who the heck are you and why should I trust you? Like I stated before, my company is part of one of the largest IBM/Lenovo computer and parts dealer networks in the Southeast.
Is this thing in good shape or does it look like the kids played street hockey with it? It is in very nice condition. Plastics are in great shape with no cracks or black electrical tape (yes, I have seen laptops sold with electrical tape holding them together), only normal usage scratches, none or very little key wear.
You make your computers sound so great, do your customers ever have trouble with them? Yes of course, we would be lying to state otherwise, but our failure rate is less than 5%. That means that 95%+ of our units don't have problems! Half of the 5% is catastrophic failure meaning the GPU/CPU fails, the other half is minor stuff that is easily corrected. Anything electronic can and does fail on occasion. Here is the important part though. We stand behind what we sell and in the unlikely event of a failure we will repair or replace promptly within warranty guidelines.
Is the LCD monitor clear with no weak spots or dead pixels? Yes, the clarity is awesome with vivid color ! Sometimes screens have minor scratches or some small spots of shadowing, but nothing that would significantly impair visual quality.
Does everything work or am I going to have to dump another $200 bucks into it to get it to work? It works great!
Can I connect to a wireless network or WIFI hotspot? Yes, it has a mini PCI 802.11 b/g/n compatible internal wireless card included.
Is it fast or am I going to grow a beard waiting for downloads and program loads? It is very fast. The Centrino processor at an effective rate over 2GHZ is adequate for most user applications.
Can I add RAM? Yes, up to 2 GB. It has 1GB installed. Beware of machines with 512MB or lower. New OS don't like that. Your pants will go out of style waiting for programs to boot with that.
Does it have a CDRW/DVD drive? Yes, it has a fully tested CDRW/DVD drive so you can play your favorite music, burn CDs, watch movies...
Does the battery work? Yes, we have replaced it if non-functional and tested it to hold at least a 1 hour charge in power saver mode. Some units will hold upwards of 2-3 hours.
