Description

I have a Tubbed Out Pro-Street 1970 Mach 1 with NC Title. The car has New Four Link Suspension with New Aluminum Adjustable Coil Over Shocks and New Aluminum Sheet Metal work inside. The car has not been driven or raced since the work was completed. The inside has a 6 pt Roll Bar and two Race Seats. The Shock Towers have been moved out for more room in the engine compartment and I have put a Boss 429 Hemi Engine in the engine bay but it is still not quite wide enough for this engine to sit down on the mounts completely. I thought it had been widened for a Boss Engine but the previous owner just widened it to have more room with a Cleveland and 460. If I were going to finish the car I would just remove the shock towers and install Struts and a Rack & Pinion. This is a very popular trend for the 60s and 70s cars these days. I have had some body work completed. We sanded and primed the body to make the Car Show and Drag Race event at the Z Max Dragstrip in Concord NC the weekend of Aug 6-9. The car could still use some work but it is getting closer. It needs a taillight panel and front bumper and gravel shield.

The Engine is a NEW OLD STOCK Jan. 9th, 1970 S Code Boss 429 Hemi Race Block. Race Blocks were used in most of the 69 Mustangs and some of the early 1970s Mustangs. It was not installed in a car and it has never been built. There are no Vin numbers stamped on the block. This Boss Block, Heads, Crank, Rods, Pistons, Intake Manifold, Harmonic Balancer, Rocker Arms, Shafts, and Stands, New Stainless Valves, and some Gaskets all came from Holman Moody in Charlotte, NC about 15years or more ago. The Heads are NASCAR Race Heads or as they were called in those days, ( Stock Car Heads ). The Heads still have the Holman Moody initials written in Red Marker on the corners of the heads. They are ready for assembly and have a Serdi Machine 3 angle cut on the seats. I have New Stainless Valves for the heads. In addition, I have a Nascar Steel Crank with some journal damage from spun bearings. I have a full set of Nascar Rods with 1/2 inch Rod Bolts, I also have a full set of Pistons with the matching dome shape for these heads, and I have a Harmonic Balancer. I have a Factory Dual Plane Street Intake Manifold and I have a Nascar Maxi Plenum Race Intake Manifold that is set up for a Holley Dominator Carb.

I would like to sell this car with the engine in hopes that someone will want to finish it like I was going to. I wanted to build a Recreation of Dyno Don Nicholson's 1970 Pro Stock Mustang. The one that was painted Yellow with Red and Blue Stripes. I was going to use Yellow with Teal and Purple to be a little different.

This would be a great Pro Street Car to drive and take to shows and to Race if you want to. I was going to put the heads on a 460 Block and build a 532 or a 557 Stroker engine and maybe sell the block and other Nascar parts to a Collector. I have NEW Custom Diamond Pistons, a 4.300 Crank with 6.800 long Rods to build a 532 in stock and for sale if someone may be interested in it. The Compression would be about 10.5 to 11.1 for pump gas.

I was going to use the Maxi plenum intake and make another top and put 4 Holley 500 CFM 2 BBl Carbs. on it for an incredible look. It would be different and very cool.
Of course if you have the money, 4 Webbers would be very cool too.

I will sell the Car for $15,500.00 with a Clear Title. I will sell the engine for $25,000. with all the parts. I will discount the package and sell the car and engine for $35,000.00.
I am not stuck on numbers and willing to do some trading. Let me know what you have and what you can do and let's see if we can get together.

I am interested in a 1970 or 71 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler. A good body with or without engine. I would prefer a 4 speed car. I might also consider a Harley Davidson Ultra Classic or Road King or something along those lines with a value of about $8,000 to $12,000 and the rest in Cash.

There are very few if any cars like this that you can drive on the street or race that has theAwesome Looks that a Boss 429 Engine has.

Don't need boats or four wheelers. It never hurts to hear what you have. I do have interest in Boss 302 cars and parts. Maybe a Boss Cougar. I am located just outside of Charlotte, NC. Call me at, 704-516-8033 or email me at, mailto:oldmustanghotrod@aol.com .... I don't get on this site very much but check my emails several times a day. Thanks and call or write with any questions.
