Quarter Horse Mare

Please excuse the photos I took them this afternoon and it's been raining for 3 days, so she's covered in mud. I will take some more once it dries out and she's had a bath, or you're welcome to come see her in person to see how gorgeous she really is. I do have some other pictures I can email upon serious interist.

Beautiful black QH mare. 14.1hh 5yro. I bought her almost 3yrs ago to be a barrel horse. But due to my health issues I can't race, and I need a smoother gaited horse. How ever Hope is one of the smoothest non-gaited horses i've ever ridden. She would be an excellent barrel horse with some training.
I bought her unborken and trained her. She's been trail ridden, and generally prefers to be behind another horse. But will lead also if asked. She has the speed to do events, and with some work undersaddle for whatever event you're interisted in, would make an excellent partner. I think she would learn toward barrels, maybe poles or possibly roping. She quick and generally a quick learner. But she is VERY smart and likes to see what she can get away with.

She might make a good jumper, as i've seen her clear over 2 feet just fine. I do not ride english, so I don't know about english movement but a friend of mine who does ride english came out and assessed her, said she would make an excellent english horse with some 'english schooling'.

Her mother was a racing quarter horse horse, so she comes from racing stock. Her father was a registered paint. I do not have her papers, but they were not important to me at the time (I can't ride paper, so I didn't care) In a nutshell the people who had her bought her mother pregnant with a foal at her side, the foal had color and since Hope didn't come with color, they didn't want her, abused her, and finally got rid of her. She's come quite a long way in the time i've had her. She really is a great horse...But needs something to do and gets bored with out something to do.

I just had her shots and coggins updated a couple months ago. She does fine barefoot (I believe in barefoot horses as much as possible) I have never had to put shoes on her, just have her clipped.

I have alot of money in this girl, but money isn't everything, the HOME is!

I feel so guilty about even considering selling her, but it would be better for her to have someone who can ride her and keep her busy more then I can. An excellent home is of the utmost importance! This is breaking my heart. She will only go to a GOOD approved home! Someone who is going to love her and take care of her. I do NOT want to have to sell her i'm very attached to her, but it would be better for her, she needs to be worked more then I can with my medical issues, and she get bored with out someone working with her, and it's getting to the point I can't even ride a trot with my spine and knees as they are. And we just found out my mother my have cancer again, so needless to say this is all very hard on me right now.
